Head FROSH Coach

Coach Steve Fee

"Why not?" RFK

This is my 5th season coaching College Park Frosh Team.  I joke that my career ended because I couldn't hit a curveball and couldn't throw a fastball, thats the joke (and to be honest, the reality) of my playing career.  This is my 11th year coaching baseball.  I basically coached my younger brother until his 8th grade year and didn't want to stop so finding College Park was a blessing.  My goal for the season is that the freshmen team is to have fun while continuing to learn the game of baseball.  I base my success on two things; if the players come back out for the next season (because it was fun) and if they are able to make and continue playing at the next level.  My favorite thing about baseball is "everything."  I love the sac bunt to move the winning run into scoring position just as much as the long homer to straight away center or 6-4-3 to end a threat.  My favorite thing about coaching is putting a player in a situation where he can and does succeed.  Whether it's pitch hitting a player who is able to get the big hit or bringing in the lefty to get us out of a jam.  I love being able to watch a player succeed and, to borrow a phrase from my youth, a plan comes together.
I am married to my wife Suzanne and have a son named Sandor.

COACH DON WILDES

Asst FROSH Coach
Graduated from Campolindo High School in 1979 and Los Medanos Police Academy in 1983.  Earned a BS from Southern Columbia University. My coaching experience spans over 15 years as a head coach and as an assistant coach on various youth teams.  For the last 6 years I have been an Assistant Coach with the Pleasant Hill Hawks 13/14 Blue Pony Team.
My favorite music is country western and rock.  My favorite place to eat is the House of Prime Rib but I also enjoy just having a BBQ in my own back yard.
My favorite aspect of coaching is watching players improve not only on the baseball field, but in the classroom and as a valuable citizen in society.  Teaching the players to respect the game and to always work hard.
My favorite highschool memory has to be when I was on the bowling team which was the Northern California State Champions in the mixed scratch division.
I also enjoy playing softball and have played with the Concord PD softball team which has won several tournaments, including the Silver Medal in the California Police/Fire games.
I am married to Kris and have a son, Kevin who graduated from College Park in 2013.
