College Park Girls Basketball had an outstanding week, going 3-0 in their games and continuing their undefeated streak! On Tuesday, December 9th, Varsity faced Rodriguez in a competitive matchup, coming away with a 37-33 win. Senior Taylor Ochoa led the team with 19 points and 7 steals, dominating both offensively and defensively. Senior Maisa Azar added 7 points while locking down the defense, and Freshman Jordan Allen contributed 5 points with impressive hustle. The defensive standout of the game was Freshman Chole Franco, whose multiple steals set up numerous scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, JV battled hard against Rodriguez and secured a well-earned win. 

On Thursday, December 11 the girls continued their momentum against Castro Valley, winning 52-37. Taylor Ochoa again led the team with 20 points, while Maisa Azar had a career-high 17 points, showcasing her scoring ability. Freshman Chloe Franco chipped in 5 points, helping the team dominate on both ends of the court. 

Lastly on Friday, December 12 against Pittsburgh High school, a thrilling showdown between two undefeated teams, College Park pulled ahead in the final minutes to win 52-38. Taylor Ochoa once again led the way with 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Maisa Azar contributed 8 points, and Jolene Azar anchored the defense with 7 steals. The game remained neck-and-neck until the fourth quarter, when College Park made a decisive push to secure the victory. 

Overall, Varsity Girls Basketball had an incredible week, remaining undefeated at 5-0, and demonstrating skill, teamwork, and determination in every game! Next up are home games on Monday, 12/15 vs. Vallejo and the first LEAGUE game on Friday, 12/19 vs Las Lomas. Get out to support your undefeated Falcons!
