Strong Performance at Stonebarger Tournament for Boys Basketball

On Thursday, 12/11, the Varsity Boys Basketball team played their opening game of the Stonebarger Tournament against Edison High School. They were able to close out another tight game, getting a 63-62 win over Edison. #25 Miles Cooper (sophomore) led the way with 29 points and 6 steals, alongside #5 Steven Barnett (senior), who added 16 points and 5 assists.

On Friday, 12/12, the Varsity Boys took on hosts Liberty High School for their second game of the tournament. Despite a strong performance in the second half, the team was unable to get a win as they fell to the Lions in a 56-51 loss. #5 Steven Barnett (senior) led the scoring column with 12 points and 10 rebounds, with help from #22 Elijah Smith (senior) who chipped in 10 points and 4 assists.

On Saturday, 12/13, the boys were able to grab another win against Lincoln High School for their final game of the Stonebarger Tournament. #22 Elijah Smith (senior) had a strong performance, putting up 18 points, alongside #10 Luciano Nascimento (senior) who had 11 points and 3 rebounds on the night.

The Varsity boys will have another busy week with a pair of games, as they will play their first league game of the season on the road at Las Lomas on Saturday, 12/20Great work Falcons!
