Boys Soccer Starting Off Strong

The Varsity Boys Soccer team had a busy week as they kicked off their season with three games. The Falcons took on Pittsburgh High School on Tuesday, December 2nd and unfortunately lost 1-2, Deer Valley High School on Thursday, December 4th and earned a big 2-0 win, and Northgate High School on Saturday, December 6th with a tough 2-3 loss.

Against Pittsburgh, sophomore Colby Rieger crossed the ball and assisted to senior Dariyon Connolly-Smith who finished with an open shot, giving the Falcons the 1-0 in the first half. CP continued to fight hard in the beginning of the second half, but unfortunately gave up two goals.

Against Deer Valley, senior Jacob Mercado scored with an assist from senior Logan Cairns, helping propel the team towards the win. Connolly-Smith added to the tally with another goal assisted by senior Jake Vensko, securing the 2-0 victory.

At Northgate, Rieger scored a goal with an assist from junior Dylan Pelayo. Sophomore Joel Sato assisted to junior Gavin Torchia for another goal.
