The jv football team was a large success this year.  The staff included Head Coach Reno La Sala, assistants Abraham Vergara , Mitchell Broxton, Tyler Mineberg and Rick Cazares.  Freshman quarterback Diamond Loosli and freshman running back Frank Payne led the jv squad to much of it’s offensive success.  On the other side of the ball sophomore’s Jack Danska and freshman TJ Dumlao helped put together a shutdown defense finishing the year 7-2 only losing to Benicia and Pittsburg high in well contested games. The young football squad blew out many of it’s opponents by upwards of 20 points.

For the second year in a row College Park’s young Frosh-Soph team was able to defeat our cross town rival Alhambra high in a very close hard fought battle where game came down to a hail mary pass attempt and the falcons beat the Bulldogs 20-19 . Coach Reno La Sala says this was game of the year for the JV team.

College Park Varsity looks forward to having these players develop and become very successful varsity players in years to come. College Park’s Jv squad didn’t have a game against Berean Christian this year due to Berean not having a Jv team, because of this Freshman TJ Dumlao, Frank Payne, Diamond Loosli, Joshua Richie and John Hoffman were pulled up to the varsity team some even cracking the starting line up.  TJ Dumlao played a solid middle linebacker for the Falcons and Frank Payne a dynamic Safety and slot receiver for the team. Joshua Richie played a fierce Defensive end for the team. The surprisingly good performance by the freshman has Varsity coaches very excited to see what these players can do after a solid offseason of weight training and field work.
