This volleyball season was a fight from the start for the girls. The year started out with team bonding experience.   All three teams bonded during a sleepover in the College Park gym. They had many games including homemade laser tag course.  They also watched a volleyball movie, A Miracle Season, and used the swimming in the pool all night. It was such a good experience to kick off the season strong and getting to know all the girls from all teams.

Their overall varsity record for the season including tournaments, league games, and preseason games was 23-11. Their league record was 9-3. The first game of the year they played cross town rival Alhambra and even though they lost they played super hard and that ignited the spark of how well the team knew they could do. They knew that their skill level would increase over the season. In the first couple of tournaments they placed second and third.  The team went to NCS this year for the first time in 3 years. The girls main rival was Clayton Valley having close games during both matchups. For senior night they played the Ugly Eagles at our home court, and they took them to 4 sets and won. After the game the girls ran and jumped in the pool, a tradition for the past few years. Go Falcons!

Along with the team success the Falcons had some individuals excel as well. Maddie Maile and Mia Vahey got first team all Diablo Athletic League, Maci Babb and Alex Holenstein were honored with second team, and Jessica Vinogradov got honorable mention. Mia Vahey got the team  MVP, Maddie Maile got the Falcon MVP, Isabella Lera got the Falcon Pride award, Alex Holenstein got Old Faithful award, Maci Baby got Pepper Challenge award. Overall this season was a huge success for the girls volleyball program for all levels, especially varsity!
