The varsity wrestling team has had a little bit of a rough start. At our first tournament of the season at Freedom high school. We had a dual record of 2-3 which was disappointing, but came with a really young and inexperienced that has a lot of potentiel. Even with holes in the line up the tea still got dominating wins over Clayton Valley and Campolindo. We fought very hard but ended up losing very close duals to Heritage, Las Lomas, and Castro Valley. Wrestlers Gus Petruske, Eric Karas,Daniel Karas, and Steven Karas all went undefeated in their matches.

The team has a very promising season ahead with returners like Gus Petruske, a 3 time North Coast Section Placer and 2018 NCS champ and Eric Karas, a 2 time North Coast section placer. Both wrestler are looking for a NCS title and a spot on the podium at the state tournament. We compete this week on the 15th at Folsom high school a tough tournament and are excited for some high caliber matches. The team is looking to clean it up and put some more wins on the board this weekend.
