SENIOR FALCON PROFILES

Girls Varsity Soccer has seven seniors going off to college next year. Four of the seniors, Rylee McCormick, Alicia Cardenas, Teeny Osmundsen and Natalia Leroux will be continuing their athletic careers in college. The girls soccer program will celebrate their achievements at Senior Night on February 8 before their last home game against Miramonte. The game starts at 7p.m. Please come out and show your support.

Alicia Cardenas has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old. Her favorite memory about the sport is the friendships that have become like family and getting to travel to many places. Next year she plans on attending Los Medanos College to play soccer and she would like to study marine biology or nursing. She could not be the player she is without the support of friends and her family. She will never forget when she got the winning header goal against Acalanes her sophomore year.

Natalia Leroux has been playing soccer for 14 years. Her favorite memories are meeting some of her closest friends through the sport. After graduating Nat will continue her athletic career at Cal State Monterey Bay. When she is not playing soccer she likes to hang out with her friends and watch Netflix.

Bailey Matthews has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old. Her favorite memory is the friendships she has made and scoring the winning goal against Clayton Valley. She plans on attending a 4-year college after College Park and getting a degree. She likes to workout and paint in her free time. 

Rylee McCormick has been playing soccer for 13 years. Her favorite memory from soccer was meeting her two best friends and when she got her hair pulled playing against, Alhambra and Acalanes. She plans on attending Diablo Valley College next year and will play soccer for them. In her free time she likes to hang out with friends and dancing at team dinners.

Christine “Teeny” Osmundsen has played soccer for 12 years. Her favorite memory playing this sport was meeting all her friends and traveling for tournaments and games. After College Park, she plans to attend Diablo Valley College and play soccer. In her free time she likes to go on adventures and go snowboarding with her family.

Sloane Sullivan has been playing soccer for the last six years. Her favorite memory from playing soccer was almost beating Carondelet in NCS after only winning one game in league her sophomore year. After College Park, she plans to attend college and study political science. In her free time she likes to draw, write and spend time with my friends, family and boyfriend. At College Park, she has met a lot of amazing people and made lasting friendships. 

Robyn Tuggle has been playing soccer for 13 years. Her favorite memory was when her Dad would coach her teams when she was younger. Next year she plans to go away to a 4-year college and study to become a nurse. When she is not playing soccer she likes to hang out with her friends.

 

VARSITY GIRLS SOCCER NEWS

LEAGUE GAMES START

League games started December 4th with a home opener vs. Acalanes. The Falcons faced a strong Don's team who scored first. The Falcons responded with goal to tie it up, 1-1. With great defense on both sides the second half remained scoreless. The Falcons will play away at Mt. Diablo on December 6th and then return home on December 11 against the Campolindo Cougars. Please come out and cheer on the Varsity Falcons.

NCS ROUND ONE

Girls Varsity finished the season ranked 11th in the Division 1 bracket of NCS. The girls will play Berkeley H.S.  on Wednesday Feb, 13 at Berkeley game is at 5:00pm. Come out and support our FALCONS.
