Legacy Projects

College Park’s sports leadership program does a lot every day to try to improve the overall experience for everyone involved with College Park. We want everyone to come here and be impressed with what they see. Our goal as a school is to be the school that other schools thrive to be. We want everyone’s thoughts of College Park to always be positive, no matter the situation.

The sports leadership class is involved with projects as well as everything we do to help out the multiple sports programs. Many of these ‘legacy’ projects are thought of in class, and after we get to work on them, you can locate them around the school. The latest one we achieved to finish, was done by Jackson Thomas, student-athlete in the class of 2018. He came up with the idea of adding a big CP logo near the football field. After talks and preparing of how to make it happen, it was finished in the fall of 2017. It can easily be found on the hill behind the north end zone below the student parking lot.

Multiple little projects have been done around the school over the years. A new project coming this year includes a team room for the football field. Players of sports programs will be able to hang out, and socialize with others in a fun environment right by the field. Other legacy projects you may have noticed before include the plaque under the flag at the football field, the CP leadership logo on J-hall, and many other small projects. We hope to add many more in the future to keep improving and thriving as a class, and school overall.
