So far through seven games, the boys water polo season is looking good. In the very first game of the season the boys played Bishop O’dowd. It was a very hard fought game but the depth of our bench came through and we took the win 18-14. Our next game was our first away game of the season against Alameda. This game was similar to the Bishop O’dowd game and our star studded lineup came through in another win, 16-13. This next game was the biggest test of our might as we went against Washington High School. The Huskies got the best of the Falcons in a hard fought game in which CP lost 15-14.

This past weekend the falcons played in a tournament in Rocklin called the Sierra Shootout. The first day the mighty Falcons played two games and won by large margins in both to advance to the semifinals. The next day the Falcons played a hard fought game against Carmel High School, once again the mighty falcons provaioled with a score of 11-9. The boys were now in the championship game against Johansen High School. The falcons came out with a bang and never looked back. The falcons won 10-7 to win the championship for the gold bracket in this year’s Sierra Shootout.

With the falcons off to a hot start the goal on winning the Diablo Athletic League once again. The next upcoming game for the Falcons is against our crosstown rivals Alhambra High School on Wednesday September 19th. Please come out and support the boys water polo team as this is looking like one of the best seasons in recent memory.
