The 2018 season was the most successful experience Girls Golf has had in years. The girls went 8-1 in Diablo Athletic League play and won the title of League Champions for the second time since 2008. The girls worked hard and put up their very best scores for every match. Their hardest matches were against Alhambra High School, where they were able to win at Diablo Creek Golf Course.

This years group of girls worked very well together and had nothing but optimism and positive thoughts while playing on the courses. They displayed good sportsmanship all season long whether they won or lost.  Along with the amazing team dynamic, the girls put in hours of practice to ensure the title of Diablo League Champions. The championship was well deserved. They were tied with Alhambra going into the DAL tournament at Diablo Creek where they beat the Bulldogs head to head.

Winning league gave them a straight ticket to NCS. For North Coast Section they played at Tilden Park Golf Course. Only 144 girls from around Northern California qualified for this prestigious event.  Everyone had an amazing time playing with new people from different schools. They worked hard to shoot their best and they succeeded. Although they did advance to the next round in North Coast Section, they were all happy to have participated in this amazing tournament.

Winning League Champions and becoming a very symbiotic team was definitely the pinnacle of the season. Through the sport they all created new friendships and made amazing memories. The team will continue to thrive even with the loss of their three senior, Chloe Capanis, Kelsie Emkjer, and Hailey Salomone. There is no doubt that the sport will continue to prosper and win more titles for College Park. The season was an unforgettable one for the Girls Golf team of 2018-2019.
